Welcome to the official website of the Madison Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! We’re glad you’re here and invite you to explore our chapter’s deep-rooted commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University. The Founders powerful vision expanded to Madison, Wisconsin, where 23 remarkable women chartered the Madison Alumnae Chapter on August 27, 1977. Since then, our chapter has grown in both size and impact, serving communities across Dane County and throughout the Mighty Midwest Region. We invite you to learn more about our work and join us as we remain Anchored in Service and Amplified in Impact!

A workshop centering stress relief tools and expert insights in mental health, politics, and organizing.

Thank you to everyone who joined MAC’s Physical & Mental Health and Social Action Committees for a dynamic virtual event featuring expert voices in politics, community organizing, and mental health. In a time marked by political uncertainty, social unrest, and ongoing transitions, this important conversation offered practical strategies for managing stress and staying grounded. We’re grateful for the meaningful dialogue and the opportunity to inform, empower, and support one another’s well-being.

Participants engage in hands-on learning, community building, and receive mentorship from accomplished Black women. Programming focuses on six key areas: Educational and Economic Development, International Awareness, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Involvement. Delta GEMS offers a safe, empowering space for young women to build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of purpose.

Supporting Education and Empowerment in Cherette, Haiti

In honor of the 22 founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Madison Alumnae Chapter proudly hosted our 3rd Annual “$22 For Our 22” Haitian School Fundraiser.
